What I'm looking for

I seek a role that fosters growth in research and patient care, emphasizing collaboration and innovation.

I am a passionate research fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health, where I work in Dr. Christopher Bartley’s lab focusing on translational immunopsychiatry. My research involves characterizing microglia in Down syndrome using induced pluripotent stem cells. I excel in tissue culturing, gDNA extraction, and flow cytometry, utilizing Flojo for data quantification.

My diverse experience includes roles as a medical scribe in emergency departments, a patient care technician, and an ophthalmology technician. I have also contributed to academic settings as a teaching assistant and private tutor, where I strive to make complex scientific concepts accessible to students. My commitment to healthcare extends beyond the classroom, as I actively volunteer in community outreach programs aimed at raising awareness about opioid overdoses.
