What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated and passionate neuroscience student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry. My academic journey has been enriched by my involvement in research, particularly in the Microglia Lab, where I wrote and presented my findings at the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. My research focused on the effects of lipopolysaccharide immune challenges on microglial activation, showcasing my ability to engage in complex scientific inquiries.
In addition to my research experience, I have developed strong teaching skills as a Learning Assistant at Kumon, where I teach English and Math to students ranging from elementary to high school levels. My volunteer work in various clinical settings, including shadowing in multiple medical departments in Coimbra, Portugal, has further solidified my commitment to the healthcare field. I am eager to apply my skills in image and statistical analysis, as well as my multilingual abilities, to contribute positively to future research and educational endeavors.
