What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level SOC/Security role where I can triage phishing, strengthen threat intelligence, and automate investigations with SOAR-style workflows—using Linux, network analysis, and SIEM tooling—while learning from hands-on mentors and strong engineering teams.

I’m an MTech Cyber Security student with a strong foundation in SOC operations, threat intelligence, and vulnerability-focused testing. I combine hands-on Linux and network analysis with practical offensive-and-defensive security thinking to turn alerts into actionable insights.

In my current role as a Technical Lab Mentor – SOC & VAPT, I supervise junior cohorts during hands-on sessions and break down core offensive and defensive security principles into clear workflows. I guide lab exercises on Linux fundamentals, basic network analysis, and reconnaissance tools, while supporting students through troubleshooting and practical execution.

My work centers on real-world phishing investigation and automation. For my “Autonomous Phishing Triage & SOAR Engine,” I built an automated email forensics pipeline that ingests phishing reports, parses MIME structures, and extracts URLs, file payloads, and cryptographic hashes. I also designed a cascading malware analysis workflow—using VirusTotal for initial verification and routing uncertain payloads to HybridAnalysis for dynamic detonation—and I integrated high-fidelity threat verdicts into Slack to reduce manual triage latency.

I bring a deep toolset across SOC and VAPT, including SIEM-driven investigation, malware and endpoint visibility, and structured testing approaches such as OWASP Top 10 assessments, SQLi and XSS testing, MITM and ARP spoofing, and privilege escalation concepts. I’m motivated by continuous improvement—shipping repeatable workflows, applying frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, and using OSINT to enrich investigations with speed and clarity.
