Rodrigo Rosa
@rodrigorosa
Aerospace engineer specializing in GNSS software, real-time C/C++ simulation, and control for aerospace and robotics systems.
What I'm looking for
I’m an aerospace engineer with hands-on experience designing real-time modern C++ and C systems for aerospace and robotics applications. I’ve developed core GNSS decoding and authentication algorithms for the Galileo 2nd Gen secure receiver, with a focus on reliability, modularity, and performance.
At Airbus Defence and Space, I led system software for Europe’s next-generation GNSS (Galileo 2 Gen) receiver, acting as main developer for decoding novel message types and implementing signal authentication using cryptographic schemes (e.g., TESLA key chains) within OSRA and OSNMA contexts. I managed end-to-end software design, testing, and validation in modern C++ (17) through a robust CI/CD pipeline using CMake, Git, and Jenkins.
Previously at GMV, I redesigned satellite navigation anomaly prevention algorithms for an early-phase SBAS project and presented results to the European Space Agency. In parallel, my independent R&D work built DroneLab—a C++23 real-time drone simulator with rigid-body dynamics, sensor fusion, PID control, ROS2/MAVLink interfaces, and real-time visualization—bridging simulation and mission-ready workflows.
