Ritu Ranjan

I’m an undergraduate at IIT Patna studying Computer Science & Data Analytics, with hands-on research and project experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. I’m drawn to work that turns models into reliable, real-world systems—especially where safety and robustness matter.

In my recent DRDO internships, I’ve worked on multimodal AI safety by studying how image-text combinations can become jointly unsafe even when individual modalities appear benign. I also curated benchmark datasets for evaluating Vision-Language Models’ compositional understanding, and I built/validated ML approaches across domains ranging from cybersecurity-focused cryptanalysis to medical text analytics. Alongside research, I developed an EEG-based brain-controlled smart wheelchair and an NLP hate-speech detection system deployed with a web/app workflow, combining model development with practical engineering.
