At MIT's Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), I manage $35M across 15 donor-funded research projects. I coordinate grants and gifts across four initiatives, develop proposal budgets, and address donor compliance requirements.
I work closely with MIT administrators on negotiations and funding, oversee financial reporting, establish subawards, and manage project closeouts. Previously at J-PAL, I processed grant invoices, travel reimbursements, extensions, honorariums, vendor invoices, and financial control reviews.
My audit background includes work at Kelmar Associates and BDO East Africa, where I reviewed audit documentation, prepared work papers and reports, conducted research, and designed and executed audit plans. I also trained and supervised audit associates and interns.
I'm completing an MBA at the University of Massachusetts Boston while bringing experience in grant administration, compliance, financial reporting, and audit procedures.
