I lead engineering organizations and build the systems that make them predictable.

For the past six years I have been VP of Engineering at a nearshore engineering and AI transformation firm, accountable for delivery governance, project expenditure, staffing decisions and engineering proposals across a multidisciplinary organization spanning engineering, QA, product and UX/UI. At its peak it reached around 230 people across two development centers.

Most of my work comes down to one pattern. I find where execution breaks down and build a mechanism that fixes it rather than a workaround that needs me. That has meant performance assessment tools that replaced subjective impressions with measured ratings, a tooling and knowledge base migration that standardized how teams deliver and cut licensing cost, and a retention program for engineers placed with clients.

More recently I have led our move to agentic development. I ran a comparative AI laboratory across three teams, co-deliver executive workshops on our AI transformation framework alongside our CTO, and personally build and maintain the applications behind our account health management and transformation practice. Three client projects moved from four-developer teams to one engineer supported by agents, delivering full scope within schedule and projected margin.

I am looking for a VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering or Director of Engineering role at a company that hires remotely into Spain. I work in English and Spanish, and have spent my career delivering for clients in the United States and Canada.
