I spent a couple of years as a backend engineer at AlphaMap, where I worked across a range of problems — recommendation systems, ETL pipelines over large datasets, and enterprise APIs.

These days, I spend my time building and operating ktfo.gg. I'm an MMA fan, and I wanted a way to capture how my predictions stacked up against my friends', who actually called fights better. That turned into a full platform with two sides: the admin system that powers everything (organizations, fighters, fight cards, weigh-ins, results), and the user-facing side, where people make picks and follow a real-time play-by-play during live fights. It also has leaderboards (per-event and global), a detailed summary of how each person's picks landed, and a head-to-head comparison that pits any two users against each other.

It's built with Go, React/TypeScript, Postgres, and Redis, and I run it solo, in production, with real users. Under the hood, it's architected like a distributed system — an event-driven pipeline with a transactional outbox and Redis Streams for reliable delivery, a server-authoritative fight clock enforced by a state machine, and Redis-backed leaderboards.
