Regina Rodriguez

I am an Emergency Registered Nurse focused on providing the highest level of care and comfort to every patient. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley, graduating Magna Cum Lade (May 2021).

I began as a Nurse Tech in the Emergency Room at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance (July 2020–May 2021), supporting medication administration, wound care, IV starts/discontinue, vital signs, patient transport, discharge instructions, and specialized procedures such as urinary catheter insertion and naso/oral gastric tube insertion. Since Aug. 2021, I’ve worked in the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center (adult and pediatric).

I rotate through critical ER roles including Stroke Nurse, Trauma Nurse, Triage, RTU nurse, Regular ER nurse, Resource, and IV nurse (ultrasound guided). I rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients, administer lifesaving medications, educate families, and support critical and complex cases, including mass casualty incidents. I have also served as a preceptor to (2) new grad nurses.

Since May 2023, I’ve expanded my emergency leadership at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas, gaining both nightshift and dayshift experience as Charge Nurse and Flow Coordinator. I’m also serving as Pre-Surgical Services Charge Nurse (since July 2025) and have earned leadership recognition as “Clinical Leader” by my peers (Fall 2019), plus Student Nurse Organization leadership roles. My clinical approach is grounded in compassionate teamwork, rapid patient assessment, and continuous readiness for high-acuity care.
