Rashi Verma

I’m a backend-focused Computer Science student with hands-on experience building AI-integrated applications using Spring Boot and REST APIs. I enjoy turning complex requirements into practical systems—whether that’s image-based prediction or real-time user interactions.

I’ve built an AI-based cardiovascular disease prediction web app using retinal images with MobileNet and ResNet, connecting a responsive HTML/CSS/JavaScript frontend to deep learning outputs. I also developed “Mika,” a personalized AI companion with speech-to-text and text-to-speech (OpenAI Whisper, Google Speech Recognition, ElevenLabs), plus conversation memory and an expressive 3D avatar experience. To strengthen reliability, I created an API Health Monitor in Spring Boot using RestTemplate for uptime/status checks, and a scheduler to automate monitoring and store history.

I’m especially motivated by scalable backend systems, AI tools, and software engineering that emphasizes maintainable APIs and measurable performance. I’ve collaborated closely across responsibilities and led teams (15–20 members) on outreach and coordination, which keeps me grounded in communication, usability, and execution.
