Ra Sheed

I am a dedicated Data Scientist with extensive experience in developing innovative solutions using machine learning and deep learning techniques. Currently, I am working at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where I have successfully developed an Image Segmentation tool utilizing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture. My work involves training algorithms to classify rock types and analyzing GPS time-series data, showcasing my ability to apply complex methodologies to real-world problems.

Previously, I contributed to geothermal drilling optimization at Oregon State University, leading an international data science group on the EDGE Project. My role involved implementing advanced models for well risk optimization and developing predictive models based on electromagnetic time series. My academic background includes a PhD in Earth, Environmental and Resources Sciences, where I honed my skills in data analysis and machine learning applications in geophysical contexts.
