Raquel Delk

I’m a nursing leader with 20+ years of operating room experience across acute care and ambulatory settings. I currently serve as an Orthopedic and Bariatric Program Coordinator, providing operational and clinical leadership for orthopedic trauma, joint replacement, bariatric surgery, and reintroduced spine services.

I drive quality and safety through accreditation initiation and management, staff development, and charter clinical change management. I successfully led MBSAQIP policy/protocol work and helped coordinate multidisciplinary planning, workflows, education, and operational readiness for the reintroduction of the Orthopedic Spine Program.

Earlier, as a Nursing Professional Development Coordinator–Surgical Services, I led perioperative staff education, onboarding, competency validation, and regulatory compliance. I supported evidence-based practice changes, policy implementation, and quality initiatives in partnership with OR leadership, and I developed Peri-Op 101 and specialty-specific education programs.

My foundation is perioperative nursing associate experience (2007–2022), supporting patient care across the full perioperative continuum, including pre-operative preparation, intraoperative care, and post-anesthesia recovery. I’m currently strengthening my educational and leadership impact through an MSN-Ed, and I bring a collaborative, interprofessional approach to improving care standards.
