Rakesh Itani

I’m a Master of Science candidate in Computer Science at Idaho State University with hands-on experience in data analysis, data cleaning, exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical modeling, and data visualization. I’m proficient in Python, SQL, Pandas, and Scikit-Learn, and I enjoy translating complex findings into decisions people can act on.

As a Research Assistant, I collected and quality-checked large-scale image and video datasets for AI-based structural crack detection, supported ML model development and performance evaluation, and presented data-driven findings to faculty and research stakeholders. Previously, as a Data Analyst / Co-Founder, I analyzed market trends and sales data, built reports and dashboards, and maintained data workflows to track key business metrics that improved operational efficiency.

I’ve completed four end-to-end analytics projects on real-world datasets spanning public health, sports, and industrial process data—applying feature engineering, correlation analysis, and classification/regression modeling to deliver clear, stakeholder-ready results. I’m seeking a Data Analyst role where I can apply analytical skills to drive data-driven business decisions.
