Priska Perera

I am a proactive and detail-oriented Mechatronics Engineer with hands-on experience in robotics, drones, simulation, and embedded systems. My passion lies in automation, autonomous navigation, and machine learning, where I have developed strong proficiency in Python, MATLAB, Webots, and ROS2. Currently, I am working as a Research & Development Officer at Idea8, where I design and program autonomous systems, enhancing their functionality through innovative engineering solutions.

Throughout my academic journey, I have maintained a solid GPA while engaging in various projects that showcase my skills. Notable projects include developing a digital clock with a PIC microcontroller, creating an autonomous traffic control system using Duckiebots, and building a custom drone for human detection. My commitment to improving system efficiency is evident in my work, where I integrate machine learning algorithms and conduct performance simulations to ensure optimal results.
