What I'm looking for

I want to advance photoelectrochemical water-splitting technologies by designing, synthesizing, and characterizing novel photoactive semiconductors. I’m seeking to apply electrochemical and advanced analytical techniques to improve photo-to-chemical energy conversion efficiency and drive innovation in sustainable energy systems.

At BITS Pilani, I develop photoactive semiconductor nanostructures and heterostructured photoelectrodes for photoelectrochemical water splitting. My research includes WO₃ nanosheets for saline-water splitting, modified with sulfur/nitrogen-codoped carbon dots, zinc tungstate, and NiOOH.

I also study indium-based chalcogenide materials, relating their photophysical properties to photoelectrochemical activity and working to improve photoelectrode stability. My current research examines surface trap states and n–n and n–p junctions to improve photoelectrode efficiency.

Over the past five years, I’ve authored five first-author publications and contributed to four additional research articles, and I’ve filed a patent application. I use chemical synthesis methods and electrochemical and analytical characterization to investigate materials for sustainable energy applications.
