At SRM Institute of Science and Technology's Nanophotonics Research Laboratory, I investigate 2D materials, polymers, and hybrid systems for optical and nonlinear optical applications. My work explores how hybridization affects carrier dynamics and nonlinear optical activity.
I fabricate thin films, polymer composites, and porous materials, and characterize their surface area and porosity using BET studies. I also perform nonlinear measurements with nanosecond and femtosecond Z-scan setups and conduct transient absorption studies.
I've authored five first-author and three co-authored journal papers, including work published in ACS Applied Nano Materials, Inorganic Chemistry, Nanoscale, and Journal of Materials Chemistry C. My research includes optical limiting studies of MoS2 nanosheets and Carmine-PVA composites.
At SRMIST, I supervised M.Sc. and B.Tech. students whose projects resulted in peer-reviewed publications. I also teach undergraduate physics laboratory sessions and give lectures on optics and scientific data acquisition and interpretation.
