What I'm looking for

A remote Backend or Platform Engineer role where I can build and ship services end to end: APIs and microservices in Go, .NET or PHP, running on Kubernetes, with solid CI/CD and observability. I enjoy event-driven architectures, well-tested domain code (DDD, TDD) and pragmatic use of LLMs in production. Fully remote from Spain (CET); open to employment, contractor or EOR.

Backend engineer with 20+ years of building software and the last 4+ years on cloud-native platforms.

At METRO Markets I built and deployed PHP/Symfony and Go microservices on Kubernetes (GKE), across dev, feature, preprod, prod and sandbox clusters running 50–60+ services each. We shipped to production daily from a shared monorepo with GitLab CI/CD, per-MR feature environments, Helm and canary releases with ArgoCD, and teams integrated through Kafka and Google Cloud Pub/Sub. I also built Grafana dashboards on ClickHouse and MySQL with Slack alerts, and in 2026 took part in an AI agents pilot with Temporal and Google ADK, from proofs of concept to the first production runs.

Before that, 10+ years of .NET (C# and VB.NET): microservices with hexagonal architecture deployed to Azure at Serviceware, web platforms for CBS and Viacom, and booking integrations with 20+ travel suppliers at Juniper.

Right now I run Alerta BOE (alertaboe.es), my own Python + LLM service in production: FastAPI, Next.js, a provider-agnostic LLM layer and Docker Compose.

What I bring: DDD, TDD and hexagonal architecture in production services, event-driven integration, and CI/CD that lets a team ship every day. Used to distributed, multilingual teams (Spanish, German, English, Catalan).
