What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an Analytical Chemist role where I can run spectroscopy and chromatography methods, support ISO 17025:2017 quality, develop/validate methods, and contribute to environmental monitoring and continuous improvement in a safety-first lab.

I’m an analytical chemist with over 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in Atomic Spectroscopy and chromatography-based testing. I focus on delivering accurate, reproducible results while maintaining ISO 17025:2017 quality standards.

At CSI International Kenya, I analyse heavy metal contamination in water, food, and soil using AAS and XRF, and support mineral assays with ICP-MS. I also run petroleum hydrocarbon analyses (BTEX, PAH, TPH) and assess industrial and indoor air quality using spectroscopy and sampling instruments.

I’m comfortable across method development activities, including verification and validation, and I strengthen lab performance through SOP drafting, QA/QC, calibrations, intermediate checks, and equipment monitoring. I maintain the laboratory quality system with corrective actions following internal and external audits.

I also support capacity building by training and supervising students on attachment, interns, and new laboratory staff. My day-to-day approach is grounded in health, safety, and continuous improvement—so results stay reliable and processes stay compliant.
