I’m a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator with 10+ years designing, managing, and optimizing enterprise-grade, multi-terabyte SQL Server environments. I specialize in HA/DR stretched over multiple data centers, ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and scalability in complex, high-load systems.

In my current role at KPN, I’m responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing critical SQL Server RDBMS systems for customer-facing applications. I design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, provide 24x7 on-call support, maintain security/compliance, and automate monitoring and maintenance processes.

My biggest impact comes from hands-on performance investigation and structural remediation—using tools like Query Store, SentryOne Plan Explorer, sp_whoisactive, and the Brent Ozar toolkit to reduce query execution times from minutes to seconds. I also support complex production migrations across AlwaysOn clusters and execute disaster recovery tests to validate failover and recovery procedures. I work comfortably in remote environments, handle sensitive data (VOG certificate), and I’m currently learning Spanish while preparing to relocate to Paraguay in Q4 of 2026.
