At IBMCP UPVCSIC, I carried out molecular analyses, PCR and qRT-PCR, protein purification, and plant virulence and pathogenicity assays during my traineeship.
For my Erasmus thesis work at UNIVERSIDAD PUBLICA DE NAVARRAUPNA,IDAB, I studied the interaction between phaseolotoxin produced by Pseudomonas syringae pv phaseolica and deletion mutants that do not synthesize the toxin, evaluating their virulence on bean plants against the wild type strain.
My MSc thesis activity at Università degli studi di Catania focused on phytotoxins produced by Pseudomonas in plant host-interaction. I also gained experience with molecular cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, gel electrophoresis, and microbial culture techniques.
At Università degli studi di Catania, I worked on the agronomic and qualitative characterization of local durum wheat populations in low input conditions, measuring plant and ear traits and processing data in Excel. I also studied fertilisers, herbicides, seeds, and sustainable agricultural practices at AGRO CONDORELLI S.R.L.
