What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level role where I can build scalable data pipelines and analytics (SQL/Tableau) and apply machine learning to solve real business problems, while continuing to learn and collaborate closely with others.

I’m a data science intern focused on building scalable analyses and models that translate raw data into business decisions. At AutoZone, I developed SQL workflows in Google BigQuery for market basket analysis at massive transaction scale, then quantified revenue impact and presented recommendations to executive leadership.

Across my internships, research, and teaching roles, I combine strong engineering habits with applied machine learning. I’ve processed large Oracle-backed time-series datasets with Python to derive energy-efficiency metrics and used BERTopic and LightGBM in research evaluating low-visibility pose estimation reliability; I also mentor 60+ students through Java, object-oriented design, and data structures as a teaching assistant/tutor.

UM

Teaching Assistant/Tutor

University of Mississippi

Aug 2024 - May 2026 (1 year 9 months)

Mentored 60+ students per semester in Java programming, object-oriented design, and data structures. Led weekly lab sessions and provided 15+ hours of office hours to support debugging and concept reinforcement.

UM

Research Assistant

University of Mississippi

Jan 2024 - May 2026 (2 years 4 months)

Co-authored a manuscript submitted to NeurIPS 2026 evaluating reliability of human pose-estimation models under severity-based and compositional low-visibility conditions. Built a Python text analytics workflow using BERTopic to process 250,000+ AI ethics statements and trained/evaluated a LightGBM model for ethical-principle prediction (89% F1).

TT

Data Science Intern

Trane Technologies

Mar 2025 - Apr 2026 (1 year 1 month)

Processed and analyzed 1+ million time-series electricity records from Oracle databases using Python across 50+ buildings. Calculated energy efficiency metrics, applied machine learning models to identify consumption drivers, and standardized data-naming conventions to improve joins and integration.

AI

Data Science Intern

AutoZone, Inc.

Jun 2025 - Aug 2025 (2 months)

Developed scalable SQL analyses in Google BigQuery to process 1 billion retail transactions and identify product-bundling opportunities using market basket analysis. Built Tableau analyses for sales performance and presented findings to executive leadership, winning Best Overall Presentation among 81 interns.
