I’m an Electrical Engineering graduate with hands-on experience in backend development, cloud-based systems, and Linux environments, using Java (Spring Boot), Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
At Safaricom PLC as an Enterprise IoT Intern, I supported AWS fundamentals (including EC2-based compute environments) and helped containerize services with Docker and Docker Compose to create reproducible multi-service environments. I also contributed to CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins to automate build and deployment workflows, and assisted with VM backup and restoration operations to support resilience and recovery readiness.
Earlier, as an Intern at Thalia Psychotherapy, I diagnosed and resolved system, network, and application-level issues in distributed environments using Linux command-line tools and Bash scripting, and I documented troubleshooting processes for repeatable team workflows. I also developed a trading website with Python and Django at Emerging Markets, integrating SQL principles for structured data retrieval and traceability while debugging application issues to improve stability and usability.
