As a Loans Portfolio Officer & Servicing Specialist, I managed a portfolio of substandard SBA loans and helped create timely workout action plans. I handled collections activities such as customer contact, fee waivers, deferral preparation, settlements offers, and payment plans. I also analyzed and evaluated commercial loans assigned for liquidation and followed up to ensure effectiveness while recommending alternative workout solutions to minimize lender losses.

In my most prominent role as Commercial Documentation Manager at Spartan Financial Partners, I managed 8 people for the collateral documentation department. I audited all Master Credit files to ensure documents were executed and originals were on hand, and I was in charge of all Note Sales. I also organized and established standard operating practices for collateral documentation, reported exceptions to senior management, scheduled monthly meetings, and conducted interviews for new employees.

Earlier roles strengthened my foundation across loan documentation, record maintenance, and compliance. I secured pending and cited items from closers and underwriters, coordinated with internal audit on title policies, recorded mortgages, and insurances for PLP SBA audits, and communicated with borrowers about missing closing documentation. I also developed and maintained an internal loan handbook and best practices guidelines, worked with software such as SBA Loan Manager Software, Rockport Software, and LaserPro Commercial Lending Software, and supported Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy knowledge in loan default scenarios and legal remedies.
