What I'm looking for

I’m seeking to contribute technically rigorous, commercially relevant actuarial analysis within a dynamic insurance or risk consulting environment—building models and automation that improve valuation speed, reporting quality, and decision support.

I’m a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst with a BSc Honours in Actuarial Science (Upper Second Class, 2:1, University of Zimbabwe, 2024) and actuarial consulting experience across insurance pricing, reserving, pension valuations, and IFRS financial reporting.

In my current role at Atchison Actuarial Services (Pvt) Ltd, I support pricing reviews and reserving analysis for both short-term and long-term insurance clients, and I contribute to IFRS-compliant actuarial reports and management accounts for regulatory submissions. I also assist with DB and DC pension valuations, including liability projections, employer contribution rate calculations, and statutory IPEC submissions.

I focus heavily on model building and automation. I built Excel/VBA models for pricing, reserving, and management reporting—contributing to a 40% reduction in valuation cycle times (approximately 2 days to 5 hours)—and developed automated data validation routines that reduced pre-reporting preparation time by 30%. I also contributed to a proprietary Economic Outlook Dashboard in Power BI, adopted across 90% of client advisory meetings.

I’m currently pursuing an MSc in Actuarial Science and an MSc in Financial Engineering (WorldQuant University), while progressing through IFoA professional examinations (CS1, CS2, CB1, and CB2 passed). I’m also a Working Party Member of the IFoA General Insurance Better Sensing and Responding to Change working party, and I’m looking to apply technically rigorous, commercially relevant actuarial analysis in a dynamic insurance or risk consulting environment.
