PhD-trained biomedical scientist and postdoc turning immunology data into clear publications.
What I'm looking for
I am a PhD-trained biomedical scientist with over 5 years of hands-on research experience in immunology, virology, and translational science. Currently, I work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Mucosal Immunology Department at CAPRISA, where I build a strong record of producing peer-reviewed work and conference-ready outputs.
I take pride in translating complex scientific data into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate communication. My background includes leading the development of scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and technical reports, supported by literature reviews that strengthen study design and publication quality.
Beyond writing, I contribute to rigorous research delivery through protocol development and research design. I have hands-on experience with assay and SOP development, including Luminex, MSD, RT-qPCR, and ELISA platforms, as well as work related to human clinical trials and infectious disease research.
I also support scientific capacity building through supervision, teaching, and academic mentoring. I am now seeking to transition into a Medical Writer role within a dynamic, client-focused environment, bringing scientific accuracy, evidence synthesis, and deadline-driven project management to every deliverable.
