Nina Okoroji
@ninaokoroji
Public health professional advancing digital health, mHealth, and policy-driven global health impact.
What I'm looking for
I’m a public health professional with experience spanning digital health interventions, clinical research communication, and federal health policy advocacy. I’ve led health communication and research support roles across two University of Miami research labs: mCARES (HIV care for minority women) and the Crane Lab at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (melanoma immunotherapy).
In mCARES, I designed and evaluated an SMS digital intervention with future AI integration potential to improve antiretroviral adherence among HIV-positive minority women. I created bilingual educational materials (English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole/French) and supported Community Advisory Board engagement to keep research transparent and participant-centered.
Across my advocacy work as a United to Beat Malaria Advocate Champion, I engage directly with members of Congress and their legislative staff to advance bilateral global health funding. I translate complex epidemiological data into clear policy narratives, and I’m now seeking a remote role at the intersection of public health and health technology—including AI healthcare—where I can build tech-enabled, health equity-focused workflows and engagement strategies.
