I've led Bangladesh's water, energy, and public-administration agenda as Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Chairman of Petrobangla. My work has covered flood control, river management, irrigation, LNG, domestic gas production, energy security, and national policy reform.
At the Ministry of Water Resources, I guided implementation aligned with the Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100, National Adaptation Plan, and SDG commitments while coordinating agencies and development partners including the World Bank, ADB, JICA, UN agencies, and the Netherlands Government. At Petrobangla, I oversaw the gas value chain from exploration through distribution and strengthened governance across 13 subsidiary companies.
My field administration experience as Deputy Commissioner, District Magistrate, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, and Assistant Commissioner (Land) grounds my national leadership in hands-on delivery. I've led disaster response and climate adaptation in coastal districts, achieved 100% sanitation coverage in Muradnagar, received the Public Administration Award in 2017, and developed initiatives spanning climate-resilient housing, canal re-excavation, solar villages, afforestation, and social protection.
