As a Dari–English Medical Interpreter, I conveyed medical terminology, diagnoses, instructions, and consent information between medical professionals and Afghan families. I also explained cultural nuances so both sides could understand each message clearly.
As a Humanitarian Translator & Correspondence Assistant, I translated official correspondence and documents for Afghan families and supporters, and drafted and proofread emails and applications.
I taught ESL, conversation, and Legal English at Pouyan Language & Technology Academy, Takhar University, Nasha Academy, and through private tutoring. I also provided online academic writing tutoring and designed an online program combining poetry, literature, self-expression, and mindfulness.
My creative writing includes Words of a Soul, a published poetry collection, and Two Worlds, a forthcoming book of literary correspondence. I cofounded Shayagan Free Library for Women to expand women’s and girls’ access to books and learning.
