What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a remote role where I can own prior authorizations end-to-end, strengthen denial management, and use metrics-driven follow-ups to ensure timely, accurate care and clear communication with patients and clinical teams.

I’m a detail-oriented Authorization Specialist with extensive experience securing prior authorizations for surgeries, diagnostic imaging, and durable medical equipment in remote, high-volume healthcare environments. I initiate and obtain approvals through phone, fax, and insurance portals while coordinating closely with providers, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.

I prevent delays by monitoring authorization statuses, performing proactive follow-ups with payers, and maintaining up-to-date documentation in Cerner EMR and other electronic health record systems. I analyze denial trends and improve documentation quality to reduce authorization delays and support more timely care.

In TRICARE and other payer workflows, I verify insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure compliance and minimize claim denials. I also coordinate appeals and peer-to-peer reviews for denied requests by submitting additional clinical documentation as required by payers.
