What I'm looking for

I seek a role combining university teaching and applied research in mathematics where I can mentor students, develop curriculum, use MATLAB/Python for modeling, and contribute to STEM outreach and capacity-building.

I am a mathematics lecturer with a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Nairobi and over five years of professional experience in teaching, research, and community outreach.

I teach advanced undergraduate courses such as calculus, linear algebra, and probability at the Technical University of Kenya and supervise final-year student projects that apply mathematics to agriculture and engineering.

My research work focused on optimization techniques for economic modeling, which resulted in two published journal articles, and I have organized seminars and workshops to share findings with broader audiences.

I introduced MATLAB and Python into teaching and research, mentored students to top rankings in national contests with measurable improvements in KCSE performance, and volunteer in rural outreach and STEM mentorship programs to expand access to mathematics.
