MOLLEN AKINA

I am a Registered Nurse with over five years of hands-on pediatric and general nursing experience in high-volume Kenyan hospitals. I have provided patient-focused care across pediatric wards and general wards, managing post-operative, emergency, and critical pediatric cases.

At Mater Misericordiae Hospital Nairobi and Royal Medical Hospital Rongo I performed pediatric assessments, administered IV fluids and medications, assisted in minor surgeries, triaged A&E cases, and supervised junior nurses. I collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.

I am completing a Higher National Diploma in Pediatric Critical Care Nursing at Gertrude’s Institute of Child Health & Research, with coursework finished and licensure exams due August 2025. I hold Nursing Council of Kenya registration (KRCHN 49850) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support training.

I remain calm under pressure, prioritize infection control and patient safety, and seek a critical care nursing role where I can apply advanced pediatric skills, mentor colleagues, and continue professional growth.
