Miras Amirkhan

I’m an aspiring Junior Data Analyst with practical experience built through academic work and pet projects. I’m skilled in SQL, Python (pandas), and Excel, and I focus on turning raw data into meaningful, business-oriented insights.

In my current role as a BI Analyst at Hayat Investment (Kazakhstan Hotel), I’m building a Power BI dashboard for budget execution (plan vs. actual) using DAX measures and a multi-page structure. I prepare Excel sources in long format, analyze the loan portfolio, and work with multiple data sources, including budget, portfolio, and revenue centers.

My SQL projects include analyzing sales data, flight schedules, school timetables, and Airbnb datasets, using queries that cover JOIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, window functions, and subqueries. I’ve also completed test assignments from companies including VK, Alfa-Bank, DomClick, Sberbank, T-Bank, Cian, Rostelecom, Amazon, Facebook, GlowByte, and Finstar Financial Group.

I enjoy solving analytics problems end-to-end—from segmentation and metrics to risk scoring and reporting. For example, I built customer segments for a Tele2 eSIM product, and I created an offline web app for analyzing 1C accounting exports to detect risk patterns, including Benford’s Law analysis and configurable criteria-based risk scoring.
