What I'm looking for

I’m looking to provide patient-centered care in a rural setting with limited access, and to become an advocate for women’s health—especially breast cancer—promoting early detection through early mammograms.

I’m a Nurse Practitioner currently working in a busy urgent care setting, focused on providing care to patients with “compassion and respect.” I bring an excellent bedside manner, strong organization, and highly efficient clinical decision-making to acutely ill and injured patients.

In urgent care, I prescribe proper medications based on signs and symptoms and support hands-on procedures including wound care, suturing, stapling, I&D procedures, splinting, casting, ear wax removal, and foreign body removal. I also stay prepared to handle “various other tasks as needed based on patient needs.”

Before moving into advanced practice, I built broad RN experience across many care environments: medsurg/tele, general surgery (pre- and post-operative care), ER triage and stabilization, neuro/stroke relief charge responsibilities, psychiatric patient stabilization, and OR/PACU/endoscopy circulator work. I’ve also served as a Float Pool RN and Travel RN assisting staffing needs, and I previously supervised home health case management including admissions, discharges, recertifications, and monitoring LPNs and CNAs.

My philosophy is that patients should be active members of their healthcare team—understanding their care plan and why they take their medications—while approaching health holistically (diet, exercise, mental health, compliance, and daily habits). I hold ACLS and BLS, and I’m committed to professional growth through my goals to support rural access, advocate for women’s health and early breast cancer detection, and pursue additional training in psychiatric mental health while advocating for APRN practice authority in Georgia.
