What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a Registered Nurse telephonic position where I can use my 34 years experience to care for and share with patients and families. I’m excited to utilize my teaching skills with patients and families during their time of need. I am a people person who can relate to anyone. I have a calm and positive demeanor which I think is crucial for this role.

I’m a Registered Nurse with 34 years nursing expertise, providing quality care to pediatric to geriatric patients, with overall career concentration in cardiac care. I’ve traveled nationwide to multiple hospitals, building strong leadership and organizational skills while staying adaptable in fast-paced, high acuity settings.

Most recently, I worked as a Staff RN on 4 South med/surg/tele at St. Elizabeth Healthcare (Ft. Thomas), caring for post op patients and tele observation. Previously, I served as a Behavioral Health Nurse (Chemical Dependency RN), treating patients with a variety of substance use disorders, including acute detox and in-patient rehab, and providing care for patients with bipolar and schizophrenia across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric psych units.

Across my career, I’ve supported complex, high-stakes environments including Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Progressive Care, Clinical Decision Unit, and Progressive Critical Care. I’m comfortable leading during emergent situations (acting as own code team), managing airway and dysrhythmia, supporting ventilation and multiple drips, and delivering consistent patient education—while also being “often sought after” from coworkers for IV expertise and contributing to precepting/mentoring and positive team atmosphere. I kept active KY R.N. state licensure and maintained BLS and ACLS certifications, and I kept abreast of nursing through continuing education.
