Michael Ray Gasta

I’m an accounting and bookkeeping professional with over 10 years of experience, primarily focused on Accounts Payable, reconciliations, invoice processing, payment processing, vendor management, financial records, and process improvement.

I started my accounting career in 2015 and have worked remotely for a US-based company since 2018, eventually taking on an AP Manager role. In my current work, I manage high-volume AP processes, including invoice intake, PO matching, three-way matching, vendor statement reconciliation, payment processing, credit and debit memos, and resolving discrepancies. I’ve also helped improve workflows, create tracking systems, and establish more organized processes to improve accuracy and prevent duplicate payments.

One of my significant achievements was helping transition a full Accounts Payable function from the US to the Philippines. I was involved in documenting procedures, training team members, improving workflows, and supporting the transition to ensure continuity of operations.

I have experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Storis, Excel, Google Workspace, and other accounting and business tools. I am Xero Advisor and Quickbooks Certified, and I’m comfortable learning new systems and adapting to different workflows.

I’m known for being detail-oriented, reliable, organized, and independent. I enjoy finding better and more efficient ways to do things, which is why process improvement has always been an important part of my work.

Outside of accounting, I’m interested in music, cooking, technology, and learning new skills. I’ve been involved in music ministry for many years and enjoy playing and teaching piano. I’m also currently continuing to develop my accounting knowledge and professional skills.

I’m particularly interested in remote opportunities where I can use my accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, and operations experience while contributing to a company’s financial accuracy and overall efficiency.
