Mavis Jimbudo - Lamaris

I am an enthusiastic and adaptable individual with five years of experience as a technical specialist in conservation and ecology. My journey has been marked by a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork, which I demonstrated while coordinating a class of 200 Management students, achieving an impressive 80% pass rate. My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology from James Cook University, where I gained hands-on experience in organization and detail-oriented tasks.

Throughout my career, I have successfully contributed to various research projects, including a Blue Carbon Situational Analysis in Papua New Guinea. My role as a Research Technician at the New Guinea Binatang Research Centre allowed me to supervise fieldwork quality, manage data collection, and curate herbarium specimens. I am proud to have co-authored five conservation research articles and contributed to the establishment of the first 50ha Forest Plot in PNG, showcasing my dedication to advancing ecological research.
