Maura Kinsella
@maurakinsella
Experienced registered nurse with skills centered in ICU and OR environments. Provides quality and safety in patient care, and a passion for advocacy.
What I'm looking for
I’m a BSN-prepared Registered Nurse who brings strong communication, critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset to every shift. I completed 700 clinical hours over four years across a wide range of care settings, building confidence in nursing judgement and teamwork.
My clinical experience spans medical surgical, gynecologic and obstetric, pediatric, home care, geriatric, surgical, and intensive care environments. I’ve developed skills in patient advocacy, prioritization, collaboration, and adapting quickly when patient needs and workflows change.
Currently, I serve as a Registered Nurse in GYN/GU Surgery at Cleveland Clinic, where I demonstrate strong communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. I use critical thinking to identify potential problems, and I support safety by monitoring the environment for hazards and advocating for patients. Before that, I worked in the Neonatal ICU at University Hospitals, educating parents on infant care techniques and collaborating with the care team.
Earlier, as a PCNA at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, I strengthened my reliability and task management through closed-loop communication and multidisciplinary teamwork. I’m certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and earned a Future Plans Teamwork Certification (issued 2023). I’m also comfortable working with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, EPIC, Press Ganey, and PowerPoint.
