What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a communications role where I can create strong content, manage social media, support events, and contribute strategic messaging that drives engagement and measurable organizational goals.

I’m a proactive communications professional with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication (Second Class Honours, Upper Division). I bring proven capacity in content creation, editing, photography, and graphic design—paired with a drive to use strategic communication to help organizations meet their goals.

In my AMWIK experience, I drafted and edited press releases, feature articles, and social media copy for gender-focused initiatives. I managed and grew organizational presence across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram—creating visually engaging materials through poster design, photo editing, and basic video editing.

I also supported workshops, advocacy campaigns, and corporate events from planning through execution, while contributing to the review and development of the sexual harassment policy for Kenyan newsrooms. My transition from a 3-month internship to a 5-month Communications Assistant role reflects my performance, dedication, and collaborative communication style.
