Marta Silva

At the Institute of Cell and Molecular Biology (i3S), University of Porto, I worked as a Junior Researcher from 2019 to 2024. I conducted research in cell biology and molecular systems, contributing to multiple peer-reviewed publications.

Earlier, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at i3S, a PhD Researcher at University of Porto & University of Strathclyde, and a Research Fellow / Trainee at University of Porto / Hospital de Aveiro. My research included designing and executing experiments using live imaging, laser microsurgery, and molecular techniques.

Across my research experience, I managed experimental workflows and data collection in multidisciplinary environments, and mentored students on collaborative scientific projects.

I’ve also managed high volumes of technical and scientific documentation, applying quality control and data integrity practices, maintaining audit-ready records, and supporting compliance with standardized procedures. I’m motivated to transition into clinical research, focusing on documentation management and regulatory processes.
