Teaching assistant supporting SEMH learners and vulnerable adults through empathy, adaptability, and safeguarding.
What I'm looking for
I’m a hard working, reliable Teaching Assistant currently supporting KS3 pupils at an SEMH school. I support learning and social development, adapting strategies and techniques so pupils can access the curriculum, engage, and achieve their full potential.
I work closely with the principal, SENCo and class teachers, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate. I hold a Team Teach certificate and have completed safeguarding-related training to help ensure every pupil feels safe and supported.
Previously, I worked as a Support Worker for vulnerable adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities and autism. I supported everyday living skills like shopping, cleaning, cooking, and making sure each day is the best it can be for every individual.
I’ve also built strong reliability through cleaning and housekeeping roles, including disinfecting communal areas, bathrooms, and working to time frames. I’m a quick learner who loves learning new skills, and I’m excited to expand my career in caring, supportive roles.
