Maris Haugrud

I am a horticulturist and musician with hands-on experience in hydroponic microgreen production, cut flower cultivation, and general farm operations. I combine practical crop science knowledge with a disciplined musical background to deliver precise, dependable work.

At Columbus Artisan Growers I managed seed-to-harvest microgreen production, packed and fulfilled restaurant orders, and maintained facility sanitation to FSMA standards. I later grew and prepared cut flowers for florists at Flowers Expected, LLC, and gained early farm experience planting crops, feeding livestock, and operating light machinery at Windswept Grass Farm.

I hold a BA in Music with a minor in Spanish from The Ohio State University and completed coursework in horticulture and crop science; I was a Dean's List student and a STEP fellowship recipient for regenerative agriculture study. My music accomplishments include principal bassoonist roles and performance awards, reflecting discipline and collaborative performance skills.

I am self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and work well with teams. I bring strong communication (Spanish), basic pesticide application experience, and proficiency with music production tools, seeking to apply my agronomic skills in production, operations, or education roles within horticulture.
