What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a remote role developing standards-aligned curriculum, assessments, and instructional content. I bring 20 years of classroom experience and enjoy researching, writing, editing, and refining accessible, engaging learning materials. I value collaborative teams, educational equity, thoughtful design, and practical resources that support teachers and students.

I'm an educator and curriculum developer with 20 years of elementary classroom experience and a strong background in standards-aligned instructional design, assessment, literacy, and interdisciplinary learning. My work combines a practical understanding of how students learn with careful attention to content quality, accessibility, and the needs of teachers.

At Seattle Public Schools, I collaborated with district literacy coaches through a three-year Early Literacy Priority School initiative, using student work, classroom evidence, and literacy research to refine instruction and contribute to curriculum resources and professional learning. I also designed interdisciplinary social studies and literacy units that connected inquiry, reading, research, discussion, and writing through essential questions and performance tasks.

At Highline Public Schools, I served on district curriculum teams developing curriculum maps, pacing guides, instructional supports, and formative assessments. I created entrance, anchor, and exit tasks to make student thinking visible and guide instructional decisions.

I also bring editorial and digital content experience through Rogue & Rye, where I research, write, edit, and refine customer-facing content. I use AI-assisted tools thoughtfully for research and drafting, with human review to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usefulness.

I'm particularly interested in curriculum development, assessment design, instructional content, and editorial roles where I can help create thoughtful, effective learning materials.
