Mafalda Oliveira

I am a Data Analytics MSc student with hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning solutions, particularly in NLP, time series forecasting, and computer vision. I combine strong technical skills in Python, SQL and deep learning with a background in biomedical engineering and R&D project management.

In industry I have managed multiple R&D digital health projects end-to-end, coordinating engineering, clinical teams and stakeholders to deliver and activate solutions across client sites. In research I developed 3D medical image segmentation models (U-Net) for PET/CT data, built automated DICOM preprocessing pipelines, and contributed to a collaborative scientific abstract.

I am passionate about turning data into practical, production-ready solutions and have experience across the full ML lifecycle — from data engineering and feature work to model optimization and deployment — while applying Agile project management to ensure impact and adoption.
