What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can build reliable systems and measure performance end-to-end—combining distributed backend work with research-driven experimentation, strong testing, and automation. I want a team that values clarity, correctness, and measurable impact.

I’m a computer science engineering student working at the intersection of systems engineering and applied research. As a Research Intern at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), I built a benchmarking and performance profiling pipeline in Python to evaluate Post-Quantum Cryptographic algorithms (ML-KEM/Kyber), adding per-function latency and end-to-end runtime measurement with time.perf_counter, plus automatic correctness validation via Known-Answer Tests (KAT) against reference cryptographic vectors.

I also contribute deep systems work on distributed software: while investigating failing etcd tests, I fixed inconsistent JSON serialization by implementing custom Go MarshalJSON and UnmarshalJSON methods to standardize identifier encoding, and I strengthened behavior with targeted unit tests. Beyond research, I’ve built a POSIX-style shell in Go (pipelines, I/O redirection, and interactive tab completion), and a distributed sliding-window rate limiter in Go using Redis and Lua for atomic request evaluation—benchmarked for ~3,000 requests per second—while automating testing and deployment with GitHub Actions and Docker. I’m now expanding into quantum-enhanced ML for EuroSAT classification using a ResNet50 backbone with variational quantum circuits in PennyLane, where I automated 100+ experimental runs and reached a top-line accuracy configuration of 95.6%.

Work history, roles, and key accomplishments

HE

Research Intern

Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Mar 2025 - Sep 2025 (6 months)

Built a Python benchmarking and performance profiling pipeline for post-quantum cryptographic algorithms (ML-KEM/Kyber), measuring per-function latency, end-to-end runtime, and key sizes. Containerized the environment with Docker, reducing setup time from 15 minutes to under 2 minutes, and automated correctness checks using Known-Answer Tests (KAT).
