Madalin Francu

I am a data analyst with a master's in Geomatics and hands-on experience improving mapping data and supporting machine learning teams. I combine technical GIS skills, SQL knowledge, and a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to data quality.

At Grab I supported Data Analysis and Machine Learning by preparing statistical analyses, quality-check files, final reports, and presentations for partner companies. I took ownership of tasks, coordinated the support team, and helped improve automated processes through careful QA.

Earlier, I worked as a Map Analyst improving OpenStreetMap for Southeast Asia using JOSM, performing map analysis, adding accurate street names, and applying real-world traffic restrictions extracted from imagery. I also performed quality control on contributions from other teams.

I am organized, honest, and motivated to learn; I seek roles where I can apply GIS and data-analysis expertise to produce reliable spatial data, contribute to ML pipelines, and grow within collaborative teams.
