@lucianni_ewang
Dynamic public health scientist passionate about research and innovation.
I am a dedicated public health scientist with a strong academic background and a passion for research. My journey began with a Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Sciences, followed by a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Control of Infectious Diseases. My thesis focused on HPV awareness among students, reflecting my commitment to addressing infectious diseases and health policies.
Throughout my education, I have gained valuable experience through internships and volunteer work, including quality assessments of health centers and training community health workers on COVID-19. I thrive in team environments and have honed my skills in data analysis and communication, which I believe are crucial for making a significant impact in the health sector.
Currently, I am the Chairperson of the Capacity Building Committee of the University of Ilorin Students' Union Senate Council where my colleagues and I have been able to impact student Parliamentarians with workshops for their personal, professional and academic growth.
I am also the assistant program coordinator of the Ilorin University Medical Students Association’s (ILUMSA) Research and Journal club. Together with the program coordinator, we organize seminars to train medical students on research. With my knowledge on Microsoft word, data analysis, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, I have been able to contribute enormously to the association.
