At Kwara State Ministry of Health, I gained hands-on exposure to public health practice through visits to the HIV Unit and Public Health Laboratory. I observed approaches to HIV prevention, testing, monitoring, and disease control, and gained practical understanding of disease surveillance and public health data management.
For my final-year research project, I investigated the relationship between mode of delivery and early childhood immunization uptake among women of reproductive age in Ilorin Metropolis. I collected and analyzed data to identify factors influencing uptake, and my field experience also included community health assessments, outreach, and health education.
