What I'm looking for

I’m looking to contribute as a Senior Teacher in a values-driven school that prioritises student wellbeing, strong classroom culture, and data-informed learning. I want to teach English/IB and lead collaboratively—supporting growth, literacy, and respectful community.

I’m an experienced educator and Dean of Students with more than 20 years of teaching and leadership across Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), Brisbane Catholic Education, Ohana Education, and international schools in the United Arab Emirates. I guide students from Kindergarten to Year 12 through academic, behavioural, and wellbeing-focused educational programs, grounded in student wellbeing, development, engagement, and holistic care.

Across my senior classroom roles at St Michael’s Catholic College and King’s Christian College, I’ve built learner-centred, safe, supportive environments while delivering English and Religious Education (Years 7–12). I prepare and deliver comprehensive programs, assess using assignments/examinations/formative assessment, and provide targeted feedback to strengthen student growth and achievement—especially through differentiation for additional learning needs.

In leadership positions, I’ve shaped school culture and student support systems with a focus on kindness, positive values, and restorative approaches. As Dean of Students at Dubai American Academy, I led initiatives for wellbeing and community development, coordinated attendance and behaviour systems using restorative justice, and supported student government, service learning, and expedition opportunities—working closely with Heads of Grade and broader community stakeholders.

I’m also trained and experienced in the Australian Curriculum, US Common Core, and International Baccalaureate (IB) frameworks, including teaching MYP, IB Language and Literature, and AP Literature. My classroom practice blends inquiry-based learning with data-informed teaching, technology integration, and cross-curricular collaboration to build confident, globally minded learners.
