Leon Armstrong
@leonarmstrong
MSc-qualified UX designer focused on accessible, user-centred digital experiences.
What I'm looking for
I am an MSc-qualified User Experience Designer with over 15 years of dedication to UX, focused on accessibility and human-centred design. I studied User Experience Design at Birmingham City University and have practical experience applying WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
My work blends research, prototyping and usability testing: I lead user interviews, craft wireframes and build Figma prototypes that drive stakeholder buy-in and measurable improvements in conversion and retention. I have contributed to projects that increased conversion rates by 20% and improved efficiency by 30% through consistent design systems.
I collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, using tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro, Trello and GitHub to deliver projects on time; I also led a team of four designers and ran A/B tests and usability sessions to inform iterations. My group healthcare app project won first place at the HCD Innovation Fest.
I am passionate about designing inclusive, self-directed experiences for diverse users, including people with disabilities, and I aim to join a collaborative team where I can apply accessibility expertise, user research and prototyping skills to create impactful digital products.
