What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can grow toward professional technologist status, lead quality-focused infrastructure delivery, and use my design and construction management experience to ensure compliance, timely project outcomes, and sustainable results—while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

I’m an ECSA-registered Candidate Engineering Technologist with over six (6) years of civil engineering experience, grounded in my BEngTech Hons in Civil Engineering from the University of Johannesburg. My work has spanned water and sewer reticulation, rural bridge development under the Welisizwe Rural Bridges Programme, and road construction and maintenance across South Africa.

In my current role at Shuma Africa (Civil Engineering Technologist), I support design and drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and assist with quantity and cost estimations, wayleave applications, and compliance with municipal and utility standards. I also contribute to construction management, contract administration, site and progress meetings, and compliance & quality management—backed by my quality controller experience where I developed quality management plans, ran inspections and tests, and ensured corrective actions. I’m self-motivated, detail-driven, and focused on delivering sustainable engineering solutions while growing toward professional technologist status and mentoring others.
